Social Stamping Family Blog Hop

Hello & Welcome!! This week I’m again joining the Social Stamping blog hop with some fabulous & creative hoppers!

The theme for this his hop is ‘Family’ I used the cute ‘Special Someone’ stamp set.

What you’ll need:

Special Someone stamp set

Family Party stamp set

Ornate Frames dies

Subtle 3D Embossing Folder

Purple Posy card stock – 1/2” sheet for card base, plus 4” x 5” & 11/16”

Whisper White card stock – 2 & 1/2” x 2 & 3/4” for stamped image, plus a scrap for sentiment

Gray Granite card stock – 2 & 3/4” x 3” plus scrap approx 3 & 1/2” x 2”

Best Dressed DSP – 2” x 5” & 13/16”

Basic Gray Ink

Soft Suede Ink

Crumb Cake Ink

Gray Granite Ink

Mango Melody Ink

Garden Green Ink

Wink of Stella

Gilded Gems

Paper Snips/Scissors

Paper Trimmer

Let’s make our card:

Fold Purple Posy card base in half & burnish with bone folder, then with Subtle embossing folder, emboss the 4” x 5 & 11/16” piece of Purple Posy & attach with multipurpose glue to card base.

Next add the DSP piece with multipurpose glue, approx 1/4” from fold of card base (see photo for placement)

Cut out ornate frame in Gray Granite, set aside.

From Family Party take the words ‘For a Special’ & ‘Sister’ (or any you would like to use & place on acrylic block together) Stamp sentiment in Basic Gray & cut out with corresponding die, with sentiment to the left hand side, attach to ornate frame with multipurpose glue. With dimensionals add this to card as in photo, approx 1/2” from top of card & evenly on the sides

On Whisper White square stamp squirrel outline in Soft Suede & use fill in stamp with Crumb Cake, next stamp mouse outline in Gray Granite & use fill in stamp in Gray Granite Ink stamped off once, then attach this piece to Gray Granite card stock with multipurpose glue & attach this piece to card approx 1/2” from bottom of card & evenly on the sides.

To finish off stamp flower, with a post it mask flower & ink up stem in Garden Green & stamp on Whisper White scrap, next mask stem & ink up flower in Mango Melody & stamp this on the stem, using wink of Stella go over the flower to blend it a little & give it some sparkle then cut out with paper snips/scissors & attach with dimensional under flower to stamped image(make sure to place it so that it matches up with squirrels paws, so it looks like he/she is holding flower) & put a small dab of multipurpose glue at squirrels paws to attach stem.

Put two guilded gems next to sentiment, I used a medium & a small, then a small guilded gem in the flower centre & your card is complete – isn’t it gorgeous!
