Crushed Curry card stock – 1/2 piece card stock for Card Base & a small scrap for flowers

Very Vanilla card stock – 5 & 1/2” x 8” for insert piece, a scrap approx 4 & 1/2” x 3 & 1/2” & a piece @ 14/16” x 3 & 3/4” for sentiment

Old Olive card stock scrap – for leaves

Early Espresso card stock @ 3 & 3/4” x 4 & 1/2”

Stitched so Sweetly Dies – largest stitched rectangle die

Coastal Weave 3D embossing folder

Memento Ink

Crushed Curry & Old Olive Ink

Daffodil Delight & Old Olive, light & dark blends

Multipurpose Glue, Dimensionals & mini dimensionals plus glue dots

Bone folder

Paper Trimmer

Let’s put it together:

Fold card base in half & burnish with bone folder…pop aside

With pineapple Dies cut out spike in Old Olive card stock, pop out inner spikes, then with matching ink sponge edges & the spikes to give dimension. With crushed curry card stock cut out the bottom part of pineapple, with matching ink sponge outer edges & pop these aside.

Take the Very Vanilla insert, score, cut, fold & burnish with bone folder as per diagram & add to inside of card base with multipurpose glue.

Stamp a leaf in bottom right hand corner of insert with Memento Ink, using the Memento stamp 4 frangipani flowers on Very Vanilla. Colour the leaf with Old Olive blends & frangipani’s with Daffodil Delight light & dark blends(leaving some uncoloured on the outer petals) cut out frangipani’s with matching die & set aside

From the Old Olive scraps using the small leaf die, cut out 4 & using the 3 flowers die cut out one set in Crushed Curry scraps, set aside, from Very Vanilla cut out large stitched rectangle die.

With coastal weave embossing folder emboss Early Espresso piece, glue this to card base with multipurpose glue, leaving approx 3/16” from top & sides

Stamp sentiment in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla 14/16” piece & add to card with multipurpose glue

Do a dry fit of pineapple so the spike fits on Very Vanilla die cut to make sure it will fit ok , then with daffodil Delight ink sponge a little behind bottom of pineapple & with multipurpose glue stick it in place, add spike with mini dimensionals

Add frangipani to front of card with mini glue dots to two that sit on sentiment & multipurpose glue to two petals that’s sit on card/pineapple, now with multipurpose glue add two flowers & one small leaf to front left of pineapple, not too much, just a few small dots.

Lastly add frangipani’s to inside fold of card insert with mini dimensionals, add these to two of the inner petals only, then stick to the outer edge of insert, next add the third frangipani over these & then with mini glue dots add the leaves underneath each frangipani

  1. Two fabulous cards, Cat! I love the bright and bold die cut pineapple and then the surprise of the pop up element inside. So clever! Your 3 pineapple card is soft and pretty and both cards are such happy images of summer. xx

    1. Thanks so much Jan, yellow is a colour I struggle with, but I just chose them & went with it. I thought the addition of the pop up inside may bring an extra bit of Sunshine xx

    1. Thanks Kelly! Oh absolutely you need to try a pop up card…it was fun to make, I hope my explanation made sense 😊 I just worked out where I wanted my flowers to sit & came up with the measurements from there – easy to adjust measurements depending on what your pop out is too xx
